3:25 PM PT– Mexican officials say they believe they have found the plane … and there are no apparent survivors. No remains have been found or identified.2:50 PM PT — According to a local TV station, the plane’s wreckage has been found, but so far no confirmation on survivors or fatalities.
Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera is missing and feared dead after her plane went down shortly after take off this morning in Mexico.Mexico’s transportation ministry says the plane lost contact with radar at 3:15 AM, approximately 61 miles from Monterrey. It was bound for Toluca.
There were two pilots and five passengers on board, including Rivera, who performed in Monterrey on Saturday night.
Mexico’s Secretary of Communications and Transportation, Gerardo Ruiz Esparza, has confirmed that officials found the remains of an airplane that was carrying Mexican singer Jenni Rivera from Monterrey to Toluca, Mexico.
No official word has been given on the singer’s remains, but Ruiz Esparza said there was no evidence of survivors. Rivera was traveling on a private plane following a concert at Arena Monterrey on Dec. 8. She was traveling with her were her publicist, Arturo Rivera, her stylist Jorge Sanchez, her makeup artist Jacobo Llenares, her attorney Mario Macias, along with the plane’s pilots.

According to recent news a small plane where she was traveling this morning, Sun. 9 2012, has desapeared and is fear to have have crashed, however nothing has been confirmed, only that the plane is gone missing.
MEXICO (AP) — A small plane carrying Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera went missing early Sunday after taking off from the city of Monterrey, authorities in northern Mexico confirmed Sunday.
Jorge Domene, spokesman for the Nuevo Leon state government, told Milenio television on Sunday that the plane left Monterrey about 3:30 a.m local time after a concert there and aviation authorities lost contact with the craft about 10 minutes later. It had been scheduled to arrive in Toluca, which is located outside Mexico City, about an hour later.
Domene said a search for the plane was launched early Sunday, with helicopters from the local civilian protection agency flying over the state. He said seven people including the crew were believed to be aboard the U.S.-registered Learjet 25.
The 43-year-old who was born and raised in Long Beach, California, is known for her interpretations of Mexican regional music known as nortena and banda, and as one of the Judges of La Voz Mexico, In October, People en Espanol named Rivera to its list of the 25 most powerful women..
Mexico City (CNN) — Singer Jenni Rivera is missing after a plane she was flying in lost contact with air traffic controllers in Mexico early Sunday morning, officials said.
Two pilots and and four other passengers are also missing in the suspected crash, Mexico’s transportation ministry said in a statement.
The Mexican-American singer had a concert in the northern Mexican city Saturday night, according to her website.
